ABU DHABI wants to familiarise everyone with the most interesting aspects of its culture, and to present its new projects and products at FITUR. As part of this project it has custom built a stage with a desert backdrop so that visitors can pose in national dress, comprising the dishdasha and abaya for men and the sheyla for women.

You can do this by exploring its markets, arts and crafts, palaces such as Al Husn, the Iranian bazaar or the date and vegetable market, which together make ABU DHABI one of the ten most recommended places to visit in 2010, according to Lonely Planet and Frommer’s.

ABU DHABI Tourism Authority, received the award for the Best Tourist Office in the World 2009 at the World Travel Awards, and will be offering all the essential information on its cuisine, its famous Arabic coffee, desert safaris and diving activities.
