AENOR will celebrate the 5th Anniversary of its Banderas awards at FITUR 2010
The Spanish Association of Standardization and Certification (AENOR) will celebrate, for the 5th year running in the context of the International Trade Tourism Fair of Madrid, the Banderas AENOR awards ceremony, which recognises tourism excellence and respect for the environment
The Banderas AENOR awards will be presented in three categories: Environmental Management, Universal Accessibility Management and Quality Management. At the 30th edition of FITUR, the awards will honour 75 companies, involved in cultural, recreational and sporting activities, the hotel and restaurant industries, Paradores or high class tourist hotels, museums, health resorts and national parks, who have made, during the previous year, a commitment to the environment, quality or accessibility in the sector.
The main novelty this year is recognition of public passenger transport organisations, whose quality services have been certified by AENOR, as well as quality promotion bodies in small commerce, both of which will be recognised with 83 awards.
At FITUR 2010, AENOR will offer the public information on its latest guidelines and certifications related with tourism. AENOR is an organisation dedicated to the development of standardisation and certification in all the industrial and service sectors. It has 21 offices in Spain and delegations in a dozen countries.
