Adventure and Health Vacations, the main attractions of MAURITIUS ISLAND at FITUR

MAURITIUS ISLAND will be at FITUR 2010, showing all the opportunities that it has to offer as a destination for holidaymakers. This exotic isle, set in the Indian Ocean to the east of Madagascar, is ideal for enjoying unique sporting activities, specialist trips for couples and honeymoons. Relaxation and health are also among the other top products available on the island.

MAURITIUS ISLAND invites visitors of FITUR to visit the island and banish stress at one of its exclusive spas, which offer treatments from prestigious brands such as Clarins, Givenchy, Guerlain, La Prairie and Shiseido. Some of the latest developments in this area are the spa at the Hotel Royal Palm, considered one of the most beautiful on the island, and another belonging to the One&Only chain and ESPA at the Hotel Le Saint Gerain, situated in a pavilion suspended above water, in the hotel’s tropical gardens.

This season MAURITIUS ISLAND will also highlight its attraction as a destination for adventure and water sports, inviting visitors to leave its white sandy beaches to the sea and have some fun ‘driving’ a unique submarine similar to a motorbike or scuba diving. Another sport on the rise is kite-surfing, a part-sailing, part-aerial sport. Catamaran sailing along the coast is also an ever-popular favourite.
