At the 30th edition of the International Tourism Trade Fair in Madrid, the Italian National Agency of Tourism, ENIT, will present its new products and projects for cultural, health, conference, rural, active and food and wine tourism, in a year marked by the Turin Shroud exhibition, which will be held from 10 April to 23 May in Turin.
ITALY will focus its 2010 products and projects on Turin, the capital of the Piemonte region, by staging an exhibition of the Turin Shroud, ten years after the last Jubilee was held at the San Juan Bautista Cathedral. The exhibition will be accompanied by many religious and cultural activities, with a Mass celebrated on 2 May by Pope Benedict XVI, in the Turinese Piazza San Carlo, as one of the highlights.
At this edition of the FITUR, the ENIT stand will feature tourist products and projects from six Italian regions: Campania, Liguria, Lazio, Piemonte, as well as the islands of Sardinia and Sicily. Numerous hotel chains, tour operators and airline companies will attend as co-exhibitors, and will inform and guide visitors and professionals visiting the stand at FITUR on all their latest products and news.
Likewise, the area dedicated to il bel paese will also offer information on its characteristic cultural offering, which focuses mainly on its “museum” cities, and it will be promoted as the ideal destination for holding conferences and events.
