TAHITI and its five archipelagos are everyone’s idea of paradise. Visitors at FITUR will have the opportunity to discover the beauty of its wild, natural scenery, its clear, turquoise waters, coral atolls, tropical climate and dream beaches. French Polynesia is the ideal destination to get away from it all, whether for a romantic break, a family holiday, on a business trip or with friends.
Another of the proposals visitors to the Trade Fair will be able to discover, is the promotion of the movie Todo Incluido (Couples Retreat), shot in Bora Bora, to be released in Spanish cinemas on 29 February. The luxury bungalows of the romantic St. Regis Bora Bora Resort provide the setting for this comedy, directed by Peter Billingsley.
Besides, the largest island in the South Pacific is entering, for the first time, the Best Active Tourism Product competition in the international category, with its proposal “Diving among black pearls in Tahiti at the Fakarava Atoll, a Unesco Biosphere Reserve”. The proposal offers divers the opportunity to find out about the complex cultivation process of rare black pearls. Visitors to the Trade Fair will also be offered the chance to snorkel in an oyster farm and to try to find an oyster containing a pearl inside.
A cruise aboard a magnificent vessel is one of the best ways to discover this part of Polynesia. For that reason, 2010 features several novelties, such as the return of the Princess Cruises company, which will offer routes around the Island aboard ships with capacity for up to 700 passengers.
