This edition on 18 and 19 January will be a meeting of the leading international buyers and Spanish suppliers in the incentive travel industry

The 11th edition of FITUR CONGRESOS, Spain’s Meetings and Incentives Travel Workshop is now open. From 18 to 19 January, 140 representatives of Spanish suppliers from the industry will promote their products to around 200 international buyers from 35 countries. The edition, traditionally held at FITUR, has become established as a useful promotional tool for the incentive trip industry, one of the most influential sectors of tourism.
The 2010 edition of FITUR CONGRESOS has added two new countries to its list of workshop participants: Saudi Arabia and the Philippines. This is further evidence of how interesting business tourism markets such as the Near East and Asia find the Spanish meetings segment. On these lines, suppliers are focusing on the significant number of buyers visiting from countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, China and India at this edition, without, of course, neglecting those from established markets such as Europe and America.
Before the meetings begin, international buyers will have the opportunity to enjoy an orientation trip over the weekend, to discover the benefits of staging their events in Spain for themselves. This will give trade professionals the opportunity to discover the attractions and meeting facilities available in Madrid, Cuenca, Extremadura, Galicia, Navarra, Oviedo, Tenerife and Zaragoza.
FITUR CONGRESOS is organised jointly by TURESPAÑA, the Spain Convention Bureau, Madrid City Council and the Regional Government of Madrid. It has also renewed sponsorship agreements with Trapsa, the official road transport provider and the Association of Madrid Hotels (AEHM).
